It's all happening on the beach this morning!! The Marines have been brought in with their huge diggers to sort out the beach. They must have had very high rough tides over the last week or so because at the far end the sand has piled up as high as the wall and for a long stretch the sand is over the wall and on the pavement and road. On the outskirts of Instow is a Marines training base and every night when it's full tide you can see lights out on the water where they have boats out signalling to each other. The little red tractor goes along the beach every morning cleaning the top of the beach where the tide hasn't touched and along the water line where things may have been washed ashore. As you can see they have brought in the big boys to do this job. There was a small digger on the pavement emptying the sand back onto the beach.
It's wonderful staying opposite the beach and river as there is always something going on. I would love to live here!! I don't think I could afford even a beach hut in this area!! LOL!!
