Exterior pulpit

This is on the side wall of St Martin’s church and frustratingly I can find very little out about it other than what’s on the plaque above the door.
The church was built in 1263 but was extensively renovated by the Victorians and this seems to have been added around 1866.
I wonder when it was last used…

A lovely shot of this fascinating find - fav! I found an exterior pulpit several years ago on Holy Trinity Church on Marylebone Road in London, I think the only one I've ever seen.
