In this case I think the humble dock is the star rather than the ladybird. I've never actually looked close at dock flowers before but I am quite blown away by them.
Oh my gosh, I agree, they are so pretty and so different. I will definitely look closer at such things in future. The ladybird is a great addition to your fab shot though.

Beautiful shot. I have never heard of this plant but it does produce lovely flowers. But I like most of all the shine on the ladybird's back.

@sangwann Thanks Dione. It's a common nondescript weed that grows prolifically here. Usually it's found growing with nettles and if you get stung you pull off a dock leaf and rub your skin to take the pain out of the sting. Natures medicine.
