Candid capture of a couple reading their map on the climb up to Cat Bells looking over Derwent Water in the English Lake District,
they still had to climb for another 1.2 km to reach the peak of Cat Bell, I was on my way down and noticed a photo opportunity:)
@dide Thank you for your lovely comments Dianne not such a high climb but a long one along the ridge, you can walk the full ridge for approx 4 miles or 6.5km Cat Bells peak being the highest point on this ridge walk:)
@onewing Thank you Babs they are a long way up from the waters edge the ridge climb follows the Derwent Water from the North end South and beyond with some steep drops on either side in places along the way:)
They are a long way up and your shot makes it look as though they are on the edge of a precipice. It reminds me of shots of people standing on the cliff edge at Seaford near to Newhaven, even though there are warnings that the cliff edge is dangerous. In fact a couple of weeks ago the cliff fell, but luckily there was no-one standing on the edge, or underneath at that stage.
@suesouthwood Thank you for your interesting comment Sue, They were indeed very close to the edge 10 feet out and they would drop around 250 feet to the track below
@terryliv Thank you for your lovely comment Terry I had climbed up to the highest point at Cat Bells only to find low cloud all around didn't take a single shot:)
