Click and collect (a photo...)

I'm not quite sure that I understand the appeal of "Click and Collect" food shopping; as someone who has never shopped for food online, I couldn't see that ordering online, then driving to the Supermarket to collect your shopping held any appeal whatsoever. Why not get them to deliver? Unless that is the stumbling block - waiting at home in the 2-hour delivery window that you generally have for online "click and deliver" services? Maybe someone can help me out here?

Many thanks for all of your kind comments and constructive critique over the past few days - all are really appreciated.
Still makes an interesting shot!!

Cool shot, I can see the appeal of online shopping, but like you, I'm totally baffled by why you would collect it

Baffled why shop on line then have to go out and get it, JUST have it delivered. We always find find something to do while waiting for ours to arrive, apart from meat milk fruit and veg we buy fresh any thing else Sainsburys deliver. Jan and I both hate shopping.

Peter, I know you won't take offence if I say that something about the pov of this shot makes me quite uneasy! Personally I plan the menus for the week, write the shopping list (in two halves) and then my son and my husband go and do the shopping, mostly in Aldi, occasionally in JS....

Love the pov. How many strange looks did you get? Or did anyone try to administer First Aid? Like you, can't understand internet shopping, let alone then going to collect it.

I could never let anyone else do my shopping. I quite enjoy grocery shopping, it is my time to think and have a rare five or 30 minutes to myself

I am not sure why you would do online shopping and then go to collect it either. I am not keen on grocery shopping, but it has to be done. I have never done online grocery shopping either, but having said that a friend of ours has just started to do it. He had a brain tumour removed a few months ago and is no longer able to drive. Myself and other friends have been taking him shopping, but now he has it delivered it keeps us free to take him to other appointments he needs.

Did you just sit the camera on the ground? I'm guessing you did, my knees are creaking at the thought of getting down to grass roots! Very effective, whichever method

@fbailey You got it in one! It was a bit hit and miss, but got this after a handful of tries.

Love the pov on this. Haven’t seen this service here although they have just started online ordering with delivery here. Believe they add a percentage to the grocery cost. Also, don’t think I want someone else selecting produce for me. Excellent service though, for someone housebound, etc.

Cool image. I like your low POV.

Great POV and subject! Don't get it either, but maybe people order at work and collect on way home?!

I like the idea of both 'click and collect' and 'click and deliver'. Delivery to our area poses problems at times as most places don't deliver daily, usually only once or twice a week and then they cannot give you a time - not even say morning or afternoon! To collect we can say we will be there at 'x' time and negates any hanging around.
Very cool perspective.

agree, I don't get it either, but great shot nevertheless

Great pov. I hate shopping neither in the real nor in the internet. I still have the impression that I buy not what I want, but what the seller wants to sell me.

@haskar I think in many cases that is true for all of us!
