Xronia Polla

My new son-in-law has a birthday today. Translating English to Greek is never easy, as it is not just words that matter but phrases and idioms.

The translation suggested here by Google (charoúmenia genéthlia) which is literal, is hardly ever used. More common is Xronia Polla, a more general celebratory salutation. Literally it means 'many years', I think, or perhaps 'many more years'. Anyway, it's complicated - I don't stand a chance...
Superb in b&w :-)

Replace words with a picture. Send flower capture.

Well done, at least you are trying.
I find the easiest for a man is to send a birthday cake photo - something manly - or find a Greek birthday cake on google

I agree, a piece of baklava with a birthday candle will do the trick. And taste very good afterwards as well ;).
