So, you may have missed (as I wasn't posting regularly) that I walked along the final 112km of The Way of St James earlier this year. I usually write up a journal for all my significant trips, and I just finished this today, working from notes that I made every evening. The leather bound journal was actually purchased in Santiago de Compostela. The shell you can see dimly in the background is the symbol of The Way, and most walkers carry a shell on their backpacks.
Very nicely done. I also write journals of all our trips and then make a major photo album when we return home, with journaling for each photo in it. So nice to go back and reminisce later.
Have just commented on you other post of your journal and this one has answered my question! Nicely composed image ... the shell slightly out of focus is a nice touch.
I think this needs printing keeping with the rest of the things from your trip Peter. The Way is one of the few remaining on my 'to do' list of bike rides. Possibly next year I think.
@bluefirebucket Mick, I hope you get to do it, it was a very special journey for me. Mind you, there we were, very proud of our 112km, meeting guys who had walked or cycled from Belgium, Luxembourg, Seville etc!!!
