Four more days to go and then we are off on a month-long canal trip. All being well, we should be heading from Oxford up further north and around the "Warwickshire Ring", a network of canals that takes us in a circuit around the Midlands, including a stretch through the centre of Birmingham, often called "The Venice of the north" as it has more canal-miles than Venice (rather than being as picturesque!).
I will, of course, be taking my camera!
