Hull Marina by peadar

Hull Marina

I have a new work placement for the next couple of months in Hull (more properly, Kingston-upon-Hull). This is the entrance to the marina, with the massive, motorised lock gates to the fore. The white building is the lock-keeper's house and toll office.

I've turned down the saturation, warmed the white balance, adjusted contrast and shadow, to try and give it an aged feel.
Good photo, black and white gives it a whole new dimension. I used to live in north Lincolnshire, remember Hull well.

Love the tones!

On my first visit to the UK in the early 1980s I saw the Humber Bridge under construction and revisited it in mid 2000s. Great memories.

@ankers70 The Humber Bridge under construction must have been a sight. I've clearly got lots of exploring to do!

Great pov and edit. I like the light to bring out the details of the lock.
