Harper, my little granddaughter, is 6 months old today. She and her mommy came over for a little while this afternoon and we walked over to the park...had a picnic, did some swinging, took some photos, and just enjoyed a beautiful almost spring day.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!
Oh my goodness, you can see her little personality beginning to emerge. She is at such a great age...you are going to have more fun than ever with her!
@glyn Ha ~ she's my favorite flavor and absolutely delicious! Molly and I were talking about you today. She asked me if I'd seen the precious photo you posted of Jack eating cat food. I've got so much catching up to do! :)
I love it, "Did some swinging...." Her expression looks as if to say, "I've got this swinging stuff DOWN!" Of course, I'm sure it's old hat by now...day two and all...
Happy St. Pat's Day, Peggy! Ditto to all of the above. I want that skin too. So smooth and unharmed by life and sun. Sounds like you had a wonderful day.
What a sweetheart. bokeh great - how is the manual shooting going. I just noticed you have a Nikon D5000 - now you really have my attention. I have this too and a year later I am still looking for LOTS of help.
@dora Thanks, Dora! I'm feeling a little less intimidated by my camera after shooting in nothing but manual settings this week. I think the key is going to be practice, practice and more practice. One technique I'm using when I can't get things quite right is to go to auto and see what the settings are there. I'm also checking the Exif info on well shot photos on this site to see what was used. Hopefully it will become second nature to pick the right settings as I go along. :)
SWEET portrait Peggy....she really is a beautiful baby and that bokeh in the background is wonderful! You're posting some really great "manual" images this week!
Everytime I see that little punkin with that rock star hair, I want to put her in an Easter egg shell. For some reason her hair reminds me of what a cartoon baby chicks hair looks like. My son Andrew had the same "style". So cute!!
