This is where Frank lives. There's a warning concerning Frank posted in the window behind the porch column. Since the sign (Beware of Dog) was blocked in the shot I took yesterday, I found the inset photo of Frank and the warning sign among archived photos from last year. Frank is really not the terror one would assume him to be...he's actually just a wildly enthusiastic fellow who makes an awful lot of noise. I think he probably worries some people with his non-aggressive enthusiasm and has owners that are kind enough to give people a heads up. I've met him several times in the park and find him to be rather delightful.
Yes, Frank looks like a real killer. :) Frank lives in a gorgeous home, doesn't he? I think I must be a southern girl at heart. I just love these houses.
I'm guessing there are a lot of "Franks" out there. Brutus goes to the door barking and jumping and spitting, and as soon as the door opens and he knows everything is fine he just casually walks away. At least I know that people would think twice about coming in! Minus the pink and orange (personal taste) I love love love that house! It's beautiful!!
Ah I can see him in the window & he looks lovely & is just probably welcoming everyone to his patch !!! I bet he loves guarding a beautiful house like that !!!!!
Peggy, I love the photos you take of your neighborhood. I know you are in Charlotte, but they remind me of where I used to live in Atlanta. I adore yellow houses; they always make me smile.
@wwhite13 ATL is my hometown! We moved back to Atlanta when my girls were tiny and lived there for 20 years until Tom and I moved to CLT almost five years ago. LOVE Atlanta! We lived in the East Cobb area. Where did you live when you were there?
Peggy, as a young 25 year old from Connecticut, I moved to Buckhead. Met my husband, a really smart cookie, who bought a Craftsman bungalow in Grant Park in 1994 when it was still a really sketchy area and he sold the house for about 5 times what he paid for it in 2006. We love Richmond and wouldn't trade it but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't say "I miss xyz about Atlanta."
Is the white box on the front step a place for milk delivery? We have a "Frank" at our house named Chloe. She seems aggressive, but is really just scared.
