The Segway rider in the jeans seems to making a strong case for going south, perhaps to the Bechtler Museum. The guy in the orange shirt appears to want to go north toward Discovery Place. And the rider in the white pants seems to have no opinion. All I have for today is a mediocre street shot. Hope everyone is having a wonderful first day of summer (or winter)!
Well we have certainly noticed that summer is yet to get started! Guy on the left looks pretty exhausted - don't you just stand on them? And I'm all for cycle helmets but really?? Do they go on the road?
An acquaintance of ours worked at the placed where they designed the Segways, and they have left the huge whole in the wall where someone went through as a reminder how they CAN be dangerous. But I would LOVE to try one! With a helmet.
@bpaquette Ooops...thanks for reminding me that it's Segway and not segue, Barbara. :) I've seen more than one mishap with riders on these tours. Fortunately nothing major.
The guy across the road had one of these Segways & they are quite hard to get the knack of...you have to lean forward I think to balance properly. Incidentally the inventor of these machines was killed by one when he was going along a path & went to one side to let someone pass & it fell down the edge of the path & he was killed. I think it landed on top of him, this was about 3 or 4 years ago.

Our winter, by the way, began officially on 1 June. Our summer begins 1 December. I think 'they' just wanted to keep it tidy for the calendar!
