We came across this little family cemetery along a scenic rural Virginia road. It appears to be the final resting place of Farmer Goode...a peaceful spot in a corner of a beautiful Appalachian farm.
Three good things:
1. My "work" is still in progress :)
2. My daughter, Elizabeth, is here from ATL for a week long visit before she starts a new job next week!!
3. Just one more day of campaign commercials and such...
Now that's what I call a proper farmers resting place! Would love to be buried in our own fields, not sure what the law is. Something to do with not being near a water course or something like that!!! They must have parked that trailer specially for you!!
What a beautiful shot and tribute to this old farmer! Have a wonderful time with your daughter!! And thank goodness we are nearing the end of the political madness. I want my phone to stop ringing off the hook from campaign solicitors.
What a lovely resting place...not that Farmer Goode can probably appreciate it, but I am sure his visitors must. Enjoy your daughter's visit!!! I have plotted my votes and put them on my cell phone so I remember who is who!!
this looks like such a peaful place to call your final home ....wow , death has such a new meaning to me as i get older ...this photo really makes me think..........P.S tomorrow can't come quick enough !
