Bringing Home the Christmas Tree

One of the nice things about living in the city is being able to walk up to the little tree lot a few blocks away and pull our Christmas tree home. If you're looking at the photo thinking that we picked out a partially dead tree, it's actually the red netting around it that makes a section look brown. :) The tree is super fresh from just a couple of hours away in the NC mountains.

Three good things:
1. Christmas trees
2. Very friendly Christmas tree farming brothers from whom we look forward to buying our tree every year
3. Harper is spending the night tonight while her mommy and daddy go to a Christmas party and have a chance to sleep in tomorrow. She can help me finish decorating the tree and maybe we'll watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".
I am jealous of your Christmas tree transportation device. And that you've got a very fresh tree. I may have to go out to Elvedon Forest and buy one from the elves... Sounds like Harper may have to make you a warm milk and make sure you don't get too excited tonight - sounds like a party in the offing!

@judithg And the best thing is I don't have to dress up and go out for tonight's party. :)

I just set up my artificial tree. With no kids home anymore to help cut a tree, and my husband in the middle of coaching wrestling season, this is the only way I can get it done. Sigh. Better than nothing. I think I will invest in some nice pine-scented candles for the fireplace!
