This man was sitting under a streetlight when we were walking to the theater. Sadly, I'm pretty certain he's the same guy we'd seen earlier urinating on cars in the parking lot of the restaurant where we'd stopped for dinner...making me grateful that we were walking and had no car in that game.
Three good things:

2. Saying the same thing a sports commentator says just before they say it
3. Yoga pants
@cimes1 Carole, the really sad thing is there's a very nice shelter just 5 or 6 blocks from where this shot was taken. However, drugs and alcohol (and weapons) are strictly prohibited. So many people just can't seem to give them up, even for a night, to be fed, take a hot shower, and have a safe, warm place to sleep. :(
What a hard life this man must be living and your treatment of his portrait captures that well...very stark and gritty. It's too bad he won't take advantage of the help that's available to him.
A sad situation Peggy but sometimes they are their own worst enemy...no need to do that on cars.......people will lose sympathy for that behaviour.
I suppose they lose all sense of what is acceptable & what isn't ....easy for me to pontificate in my warm house!
