The sun hasn't shown itself since I restarted my 365 Project. Stuck trying to do another inside composition on a rainy day and this is, sadly, my best effort. :)
Dilworth is the area of Charlotte that we call home. There are so many cute shops, restaurants, and businesses in the 'hood that it's easy to do just about all of my shopping within a few blocks. The Dilworth coffee mug came from The Paper Skyscraper (a gift shop), the Dilworth kitchen towel came from The Boulevard Boutique, the coffee in the mug came from the East Blvd. Harris-Teeter, the yummy croissant came from Nova's Bakery, (Not pictured - I'm wearing a shirt from Revolution Clothing)...all of which are within blocks of my house. I like being a city mouse. :)
Three Good Things:
1. Sleeping in on a rainy Sunday morning
2. My overflowing in-basket of months of accumulated papers and/or junk has been sorted and filed/shredded/or tossed.
3. Long lasting nail polish
I agree Peggy, the older I get the more I like all facilities round me.....a nice area goes without saying but I like company & nice coffee shops! We are a 3 minute car ride which is ok but won't always be convenient!
Very clever composition. I found it most entertaining. I, too, love local stores. Long lasting nail polish? Maybe I work too much with my hands but no nail polish lasts long for me. 2 days at the most. #2 I wish! I have so much stuff ;-)
I was just saying to Nigel that we eventually move it will be further in to town so that we can walk out of the door to nice bakeries etc (we can pretty much now TBH but I want REALLY close!). Hope he's in agreement!
@cimes1 Carole, the secret to a long lasting manicure is a good, clear top coat. I use Orly Sec'N Dry...helps polish dry quickly and protects for a long, long time.
What fun to see that cute dish towel! We have one little boutique shop that carries them for the local towns here. The vast area of Orange County has relatively few walking communities, making the little boutique mall a little oasis of cuteness...but of course, a 5 minute drive... (it's ALWAYS a drive to anywhere!)
