A familiar sight that greets me every morning...Scrappy at the backdoor ready for breakfast and a nap after a night on the town. I've tried getting him to stay inside at night, but if it's above freezing he insists on being out. A complete semi-feral, non-conforming thug. But a loveable thug. ☺
Three Good Things:
1. Shopping with a gift card I'd forgotten I had
2. Finding the perfect pair of jeans...last pair left in my size, only pair I took in the dressing room, perfect fit, and on sale. That's never happened to me before.
3. My niece is moving to Charlotte next month
Oh my, this is just the cutest & most clever photo! Love the processing. #2 - Ironically this has happened to me several times in the past. In fact the last time was before Christmas when I saw a sweater I liked at Macys & with a $25 gift card + it being reduced 65% I got it dirt cheap :-) Sometimes I think our angels are there to help
Fave Peggy.......your indominatble cat Scrappy showing off his beautiful green eyes! The eyes stand out so well in this largely sepia shot.
A real thrill to find a bargain like that ....they were obviously just waiting there for you! Had your name on them! Wondering if you know NY well & what store you would recommend we go in for a morning shopping. We don't want to spend our time in the shops but a morning will be good......perhaps one that is a all round store. I noticed Macy's was mentioned above. We are staying near the Rockefeller Center so pretty central. I have a guide & it mentions a few shops such as Barneys, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Ave, Uniglo.......so exciting! It's primarily a sight seeing holiday but us women wil definitely want to go in one or two shops!
@peggysirk No never ever been to the USA so that's why we are determined not to soend the time shopping tempting thought it will be.....we must look at all the sighs!
We will have four days there so will see how we go on! Thanks Peggy, I know I will love it!
@happypat Right off the Big B's come to mind...Bergdorf's, Barneys, Bloomingdales, and Bendels. Then there's the iconic Macy's, which always seems to have great sales going on. And there's a large TJ Maxx (wonderful discount retailer) on the Avenue of Americas. If you only have time for one morning of shopping, I'd probably pick Bloomingdale's or Macy's for overall selection and prices.
Have you been to NYC before? You are going to have a blast. If I were in my 20's or 30's I would live there in a heartbeat.
I love this...such a familiar image! I *know* this look... Our ferals, who've been living and dining in our yard for 13-or-more years, look in to beckon us to wait on them for yet another day...
