Urban Cinderella

I was hoping that I'd have a more interesting shot for today, but the day's almost over and it looks like this is it. There must be a story behind the boots left on the steps of a neighborhood building ...but I don't know what it is. ☺
Three Good Things:
1. My mom and stepfather had their second vaccine dose today!
2. The number of daily vaccines is now outnumbering reported new cases of Covid in the US.
3. Falling asleep to the sound of rain.

With those high heels, she probably sat down to change into running shoes and walked away in comfort, forgetting her boots. Happy to hear vaccines are going well. Not so here for us. We are ready but shortages of the vaccines are slowing the progress.

I would have taken those heels off and left them, too! Whenever my mom would see one shoe by the side of the road, she would laugh as she would envision some toddler flinging it out the car window.
