Yesterday I learned that the wonderful owner of my favorite farmers market died of Covid in late January. David (red hat - 2015) was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He always had townhouse sized Christmas trees waiting in December. And last spring and summer if he was at the market when I was there he'd always pack up a box of stuff for me to take to the soup kitchen. David was a big hearted and kind human being. He is missed by many.

All Mecklenburg County residents over the age of 16 are eligible for vaccinations.
Oh dear it’s when you actually know someone who has died or been very ill with covid that you really grasp the horror of it all. It sort of goes over your head like a dream.
Your friend will be sadly missed by all who came in contact with him.

@happypat You are so right, Pat. When you can put faces to the numbers you start to realize the enormity of grief felt worldwide. I hope vaccinations will get us out of the nightmare.
