Thanks to hackers infiltrating the Colonial Pipeline cyber system with ransomware - resulting in a temporary halt of fuel flow, there has been a run on gasoline. I waited in line for about 15 minutes to get gas, which certainly isn’t catastrophic, but there’s never a wait at this station.
Three Good Things:
1. Accomplished a lot of outside projects on a perfect weather day
2. Hummingbirds
3. Catching up with a neighbor I haven’t seen in ages
I was wondering if I would see any of my 365 friends affected by this. My best friend needs to get from GA to SC this weekend to take care of her sister after surgery - not sure if she'll be able to now.
@linnypinny The frustrating thing is that there is no real shortage of gas - just a shortage of equanimity. I thought I might run out of gas waiting in line while so many were topping off their tanks. I think by this weekend people will be calming down, the run on gas will ease, and hopefully your friend will have no problem finding gas on her way to SC.
@peggysirk Yes, the same thing happened a few years ago in my area - People were fighting at the stations, bringing gas cans, etc. I'm just accepting that this is how it's going to be now...
