One hundred ninety delicious lunches of ham sandwiches, broccoli/potato soup, chips, fruit, and cookies were served at the soup kitchen today.
Three Good Things:
1. My brother Jack and sister-in-law Theresa will be here for a visit this weekend
2. Putting together a camp care package for granddaughter Harper
3. The scent of gardenias
The bags alone will cost you quite a bit! It must be very satisfying to see all your good work & the smiling faces of the recipients. Three very good things!
@happypat You are so right, Pat. Since we’ve been doing to-go lunches from the start of the pandemic packaging is our biggest expense - bags, food containers, plastic eating utensils, condiment packets, bottled water, etc. And all of those products increased in price due to pandemic demand with restaurant take out.
