Too hot, too soon. This does not bode well for summertime heat. The high today reached 85°F/29.4°C, beating the 1976 record high of 84°F.
Three Good Things:
1. Temps are falling back to a cooler normal tomorrow...thankfully, since the AC at the soup kitchen needs repairing or replacing.
2. Spent the morning at my mom's house taking care of her to-do list. One thing on the list was cleaning out her spice cabinet...a lot of long-ago expired spices were tossed.
3. Ukranian tennis player, Sergiy Stakhovsky, has returned to Ukraine to fight with volunteer citizen soldiers for his home country. Stakhovsky beat Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2013. So many heroes in this surreal situation.
Oh, I hope this isn't a trend. Spring is my favorite season, I hope we don't bypass it by going directly to the heat of summer. Prayers for the people of Ukraine.
