This is the Gautier-Gilchrist house in the neighborhood. It was built in 1897. More recently it was the home of John and Pam B. who raised their family in this house after purchasing it in the 1980's. With the kiddos long grown and on their own, the B's decided to downsize and have moved to South Carolina. The house has been vacant for almost a year while they decide what to do with all the remaining 'stuff' before listing it on the market. I don't envy them with that chore. I noticed how sad and neglected it looked when I walked by the other day.
Three Good Things:
1. Accepting that change is part of life
2. Having already downsized and living a relatively minimalist lifestyle
3. Granddaughter Harper and her soccer team scored a Win in their soccer match in Savannah yesterday.
Eventually the right family will come along and give it some TLC to restore it to it's former glory! It's a gorgeous house. Nice of you to give highlight it here!
