Looking from the tee box down the fairway on the par 5 15th hole at Shadow Lakes GC. I managed to avoid the sand 180 yards out but found the greenside bunker on my 3rd shot. I am clueless in the sand traps. I came away with a 7.
Like all the other courses in Western Pennsylvania Shadow Lakes is very dry. The ground is rock hard allowing for a lot of cruel bounces. I was not lucky enough for the bounces to be in my favor yesterday.
It was a great day for golf however. Moderately warm with a nice refreshing breeze all day.
