Sunflower by phil_howcroft

Sunflower

Well everyone does a sunflower and I suppose it was only a matter of time before our sunflowers opened up and became an 'easy fill' for my 365.

We were worried we would miss this sunflower because we thought it might flower and fade while we were away on holiday.

Anyway the flower stayed in bloom and I was able to have my 'easy fill'.

Grown from 'wilko seeds' on my kitchen windows sill. One seed for me one for the wife !!!!!!! A sort of sunflower competition !! We lead an exciting life in the Howcroft household ! I won't tell you who's flower this is :) :)

saturation upped a bit to emphasise the yellows
Hi Phil that's a pretty cool sunflower .. Nice shot

This is such a cheery shot in this horrible windy weather !! I love the way the yellow heads reach up to the sky !! I bet this is your wife's else you would have said !!!!! We have some unexpected sun flowers here too from the stray Niger seeds we put out for the Goldfinches & I didn't realise Niger seed was a sunflower until they got their flowers !
