Southwell Parade by phil_howcroft

Southwell Parade

When my daughters were in the brownies and guides they used to be in the scout and guide band.

My eldest daughter Kirsty is now a music teacher at secondary school and uses her skills as a volunteer to teach the children in the band how to play the trumpet.

Today it was the Nottinghamshire scout and guides movement "Southwell Parade".

This is the band leaving Southwell Minster gardens after the service in the Minster.

My daughter is at the back of the band (middle row) blowing her trumpet.
Awesome shot

Is that Kirsty behind the flag pole Phil.....you should have moved to the side slightly so we could see her! I love a good brass band , you can't beat them for portraying a great community feel. Love all the colour too!
