So many awesome things.
We booked our tickets months ago, and it so happened that a launch was planned for that day*. It overwhelmed the facilities a bit as there were 12k visitors on site instead of the normal 8k. Queues were large for everything, but there were still some awesome exhibits. I could have spent days there...
The Shuttle exhibit was excellent. I grew up watching them on the news, and devouring anything I could read about them. I remember vividly watching the Challenger launch on JC's Newsround. There's a moving memorial to the crew.
I particularly liked the aerodynamic detail on the side of this rocket, under the 553. Not sure what it's there for, but it just tickles me that it looks like something from a sci-fi film.
(*Sadly, the launch was scrubbed with 4mins to go. That would have been amazing to see!)
