Spread Your Wings

I have been trying to capture some busy bees in my garden this morning with no success. Then I noticed a shadow cast by this butterfly as it flies around the trees. Luckily, it posed long enough for me to take a couple of pictures before it flew away again. This image is SOOC.

This is a Canadian tiger swallowtail but one of its tail is clipped somehow.

I find that their tails are often clipped. Not sure why. Beautiful capture!
