I had to feature the blue heron once more since they are just gorgeous birds. I'm still working on my bird photography and I'm happy when I get one in focus :-)
It seems so odd to see a bird of this size in a tree. But I know that they do nest in trees. We have a rookery no too far from my house. Maybe I should visit it this Spring before the trees are fully in leaf.
@princessleia - I'm not sure when the herons start roosting? I just checked them out on Google and saw that they are in may area all year round. I never knew that since they are fishers. No fishing this winter.
