My route to Spanish group sometimes takes me cross country on narrow, winding lanes and past the piggy farm. This time I managed to squeeze my car to the side of the road and take a pic through the hedge. What a life - fresh air, good space, plenty of mud (or dust, at the moment) to roll in, little houses, good company! I think all farmed animals have the right to this. (We won't mention full English.)
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Love this photo Hazel. All the gorgeous little piglets lined up in a row is captivating. It would be wonderful if all animals could live like this before they ended up on our dinner tables.
A lady of many talents! :-) A very busy photo but for the right reasons. Is there anything more touching than those little piglets or the peace and ease that the image invites. And then as like a few last minute brush strokes on the canvas there is the birds in flight and on the ground to highlight the tranquil scene. Love it all
@creativeamateur Paula, I think the piglets were just posing for me this time! The previous time I went past they were just huddled in little clusters. I've always been fascinated by the piggy farm.
@tishpics@doblaine Thank you & thank you. I hardly dare mention it but I do German as well (learnt at school). I love languages but in contrast I am practically innumerate & have no sense of direction....(I can get lost on foot - good job Ray is usually there to keep me on track in strange places.) I didn't see the birds until I loaded up the pic onto the computer, also had to edit the shot quite a bit - & yes, it has ended up rather like a 'canvas'.
