a hint of green (word of the day) a too-small coffee cup

I bought this little set of coffee cups (in England) because they were pretty and soon found they were a ridiculous size for a cup (!) of coffee. So they now sit on a shelf for decoration.

Some years ago these little cups were fashionable here. I think they are really for Greek or Turkish-style coffee which is very, very strong. I was told by a friend who went to Greece and enjoyed the coffee, that if you have a bigger cup of it than that you will go into orbit! or at least have a major caffeine trip.

@w3n6y I had to smile at your account of what might happen if you have a large cup of Greek/Turkish style coffee. (I only ever drink decaf now as it does me no good to get hyped up on coffee.)

I usually have a small cup of strong, black coffee and a square of black chocolate first thing in the morning. I have hypotension and that puts my blood pressure up enough to enable me to function and to adjust my mood from 'liable to explode' to 'treat with caution for 30 mins'. After that I have no more caffeine all day.

Coffee cups are in different size`s , very small for espresso to very big ones on board of small boats ( those where filled half because they have to be transported from the galley to the bride even in stormy weather )

They are designed small, so that you have to lift you little finger in the air when you drink out of it.
