A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
@glenmoor
I did double check that I hadn't cropped and forgotten (!) before I answered you by checking it against a shot I took in the market today - it's what my camera is currently set on: 1600x1200.
I'm overwhelmed by all your comments. Wonder if anyone can answer a query? I'd like to print this A3 but the camera was not on the correct setting for that size. I did use picmonkey to adjust the shot and wonder how much that could compensate? If not I'll just have to wait for some more rain to take another shot!
@glenmoor
Thanks - an M1 resolution (one down from L) on the A1300 is supposed to be OK for A3 prints - what I really wanted to find out is if this image (taken on 1600x1200) would be good enough for an A3 print given the picmonkey processing, Ray has a friend with an A3 printer willing to print for me.
I don't know anything about printing - no clue what A3, A4, A1300 is. HOWEVER, you can always mist the flower with water if you want to do another rainy shot. Ha ha! :)
@quietpurplehaze Hi Hazel - It's generally recommended that printing should be carried out at 300 pixels per inch see for example http://www.photoshopessentials.com/essentials/image-quality/
On that basis you shouldn't print much larger than about 6"x4" from a 1600px x 1200px image certainly not as big as A3. J.
@glenmoor
Thanks, Julian - yes I understand the recommended sizes re printing but I'm just trying to ask if this image would be good enough for printing A3 size in view of the picmonkey processing Ive done on it - but I guess the answer is 'no'!
I think the macro shots are probably my favourite.
Thank you - just a quick picmonkey adjust - but no crop!
Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Thank you - much crouching and keeping my balance before breakfast to get this shot in the back garden!
