Suffice it to say that this photo started out as an 'eye' portrait. But my effort looked nothing like the ones I've seen on here so, as by chance Ray was wearing a blue jumper today......
By the time we had scoured the bathroom for his missing contact lens and had finally found it on the sofa, it had gone all crinkly around the edges.
I think you can see that Ray is not a man to get cross but as we set off for our morning walk with Jinks (and with Ray wearing his glasses) he said something like:
'You and your (a few asterisks) 365.'
**that's the cost of a new contact lens.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
They do go through a lot with our 365 projects don't they? Do they realise just how time consuming and brain draining thinking of things can be i wonder? I've been called far worse by Paul!
hello, gorgeous! hazel, i am crazy for blue eyes, when i'm writing stories, i always make it a point that my protagonists have blue eyes. :-) of course they also have gorgeous smiles like this.
@summerfield I'll have to point out your comment to Ray - maybe make up a bit for the spoilt contact lens!!!!!!!!! Where do you have your stories published or is your writing for your personal interest?
I guess husbands are the same around the world. My kids all get in on ribbing me. It seems like Ray is a good (and handsome) guy, so we put up with what we have to when we get a really good one! Nice shot!
Thanks everyone for your varied and interesting comments which I (and Ray!) enjoyed reading. The unfortunate contact lens has been soaking 24 hours in solution and has miraculously re-hydrated itself. But anyway it's check up time in Feb and probably new ones.... A bit of 'fun'. (Ray's just making the breakfast of boiled eggs as I type this.)
Jinks get very jealous if we have a cuddle - and wants to join in...........
Well done (both of you)

That's absolutely fine but probably more usual just to say 'I can't blame him' or 'I can't blame him for that.'
Well. thank you - that's encouraging, Gemma **** !!!!
