He's just getting a tad worried about what his friends and family think of him - glasses and bottles everywhere. We're off to Walberswick (by the seaside) later for a birthday lunch. Hattie's coming too so we hope she'll be good at sitting under the table. I'm told she's already had some practice.

Happy birthday to Ray, 65 to day? A second congratulation as that is the age you can retired in Holland . And to you dear Hazel . I`ll have a drink on both of you and on you health to night and to a long life to live in happiness.
Yes, Ray was 65 on the 18th and thank you for all your kind words. It's also the retirement age in England but Ray had the chance to take early retirement and has been retired since he was 56 - does his voluntary work though and has lots of other activities!
Oho! I spy the Adnams! Excellent choice! We used to go on holiday to Walberswick when I was a child - all of 30 miles away!!! We used to stay in a cottage nearly on the beach called Samphire Cottage. Happy Birthday Ray!
I love Walberswick and similar Suffolk seasides and this time we found out from a local lady the houses where Charles Rennie Mackintosh stayed in 1914!)
