It's pouring again here today and I doubt there will be any sun, let alone a sunset, so this is from a couple of days or so ago.
Brunch (egg, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms) is lined up for lunch so that should revive us after we've been shopping this morning for a new lamp-stand to replace one that just 'died' on us. A shame as we both really liked it but no chance of repair.
Than I shall hunker down with my book - by Anna Funder, an author new to me, it's called 'All that I am' and I find it beautifully written. A line caught my eye this morning:
"At least half of what we call hope, I believe, is simply the sense that something can be done."
(And Neil, back from the rock festival in Nottingham, is making sweet and sour pork for dinner tonight!)
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Love your title. And your text. And your shot which is beautiful and certainly full of hope and optimism! Was a lovely day here in France yesterday but very wet and grey now. Home Thurs when I can upload. I cannot make my iPad send my shots.
I don`t want to upset by telling you we did have the warmest 22-10 ever to day. And you`ve only this wonderful pic. to remind you how it could be. So beautiful and wonderful and nice. I`m sure those days will return to you.
Thanks, Pete. Well, driving in downpours is boring, also tiring I think but I guess we've not had so much rain until the past week or so. Right now we are in the middle of a very noisy thunderstorm, made even noisier by Jinks who is barking very loudly!
what a great way to spend a rainy day! Especially the book and sweet and sour pork!! And such a lovely capture of spectacular clouds filled with color!
Thank you, thank you! I saw on fb that you were in Wimereux which we also briefly visited once, lovely! Hope tomorrow will be sunny again.

I'm glad you had a nice day - thunder and lightning here now!
