I never throw out a whole bunch of flowers when the first ones die but cut the survivors down and put them in a smaller vase (and then cut them down and put in an even smaller vase). And I'm always more than 'thankful' for flowers.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Sweet image - a lady after my own heart -- I also cut down the survivors from a dying bunch and display in smaller vases etc until there is no more life
Thank you, Patricia. The cropping was in the taking of the shot and I was trying to highlight the jug and flowers, so I appreciate your comment,. This is one of my homework examples(using certain settings) for session 4 of the digital photograpy work shop tomorrow. I think your shot of George today is absolutely ace!
I usually get my flowers in the supermarket and you can only buy them in bunches there - suppose I could go to a florist but I had never thought of it!
The jug was a gift from some friends and came from M&S planted with a little blue campanula - I find it really useful.

You're absolutely joking, Chris - in view of my (lack of) numerical skills!!!
I like your expression 'intuitive recycling' - suspect it comes from being brought up by post-war parents!

Does zuinig = thrifty?
Lovely container!
not spent to much and take good care for it.
Yes, thanks, that's what I thought - but now I can't be sure how to pronounce it! My parents were zuinig but I guess they had to be.
