A friend emailed me to ask if I wanted to photograph her bird of paradise flowers. The plant is growing in a huge pot in her conservatory. Magic...............

Karin, the cropping was when I took the shot as there was no other way to capture the flower without either, reflections from the conservatory glass, or all the usual items one has in a house in the background.
