I had a prowl around the garden when I woke up to see what I could shoot for today. My photos are not always taken on the day but usually close to it.
So here's Ray's dahlia he bought from the specialist nursery. I'm feeling quite virtuous as I made myself do the ironing before I sat down here. It's not a huge chunk of virtue as there were only about 6 items in the pile because I did the rest yesterday.
Breakfast next and then a walk with Jinks before the day really hots up again.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Good morning Hazel, best time to stroll around the garden --I have just been watering a couple of tubs that I didn't get round to last night ---It's going to be another scorcher by the looks of things. A beautififul dahlia Hazel
Yes, it's getting hot here now although we did get the walk in with Jinks before the temperature started rising. He's under the bed in the dark - perhaps it makes him feel cooler!
@quietpurplehaze I love the heat as long as I have nothing to do but dashing about in it as I have got older is very hard to do and I have to find the shade and try and keep cooler
Faye, thank you. I did a little experiment and took shots on manual and shots on the advanced filter option. Then I looked at the settings and have learnt quite a bit! @fayefaye
Beautiful! Good job doing your chores first, I could use some of that discipline! I just woke up a bit ago and am eating breakfast while looking at your gorgeous photos on 365!
This is one of two dahlia tubers Ray bought at the nursery. The other one has done nothing and this one currently has just two flowers - so I thought I'd make the most of it! Thank you for your comment and the fav.
I'd prefer it a bit cooler, I admit. I get up and have an idea of what jobs to do and then feel too tired to do them! And you?

I'm quite good at folding things up and smoothing them down - or just not ironing!
Tammy, thanks and I'm chuffed you looked at my pics first thing while eating breakfast!
