This was the view of Mudeford Spit from the headland at Hengistbury Head yesterday. We walked about 2 miles and had thought we might have to take the 'Noddy' train one way but Jinks was fine (he's nearly 12!)
A surprise and so good to find yesterday's puddle-shot I took of him at Hengistbury on PP this morning, thanks all!
I told him he's famous - he's lying on the rug next to me as he often does - but he just looked bewildered and is now snoring quietly again!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
That is rather weird, as Rog and I walked out to Filey Brig yesterday. Also a spit, this was our first visit there having lived in the region for 30 years! I'll post a shot later today...
We love it too, Heather: so much to see and do and such lovely countryside and seaside. The disadvantage is the traffic but I guess you can't have it all.
Thank you, Rosie - I was too - especially as I didn't know he was in the shot when I took it!!! (Perhaps I shouldn't admit to photographic accidents but I'm too honest!!)
Gorgeous capture from November! This was an instant fave for me. Reminds me of an artist and I can't think of her name. I'm sure it will come to me then eventually.
Thanks for comment and fav, Sandy.
Yes, on top of the Head, you are quite high, can also see the Isle of Wight, the beach at Southbourne and the Priory Church at Christchurch. A day for the bridge camera with the long lens!
Weird things do happen! I'll look out for your shot!
