March is certainly going out like a lion. The strong winds of the past few days have blown a couple of heavy pots filled with bulbs off the patio and laid low a few daffodils. So I brought some in and filled two vases. This one is on the kitchen windowsill.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Funny how we will buy dafoddils from a supermarket with the shopping but never think to pick any in the garden normally......good you saved theseHazel! A cheery vase !
I don't really like picking flowers from the garden but I don't know why! What I do now is that these, although fully out when picked, last longer than a bunch in bud from the supermarket.
@quietpurplehaze I suppose it depends how many flowers in the garden you have Hazel......there again I have lots of spring bulbs but never pick them! Hardly any summer flowers so none to pick there!

Is that just natural light or did you use some additional flooding?
Great shot,
Natural light but I also put a black vignette on it in Picasa 3.
Well it is bizarre as my dad grew sweet peas and dahlias and regularly picked bunches for my mum from the garden. So it's not 'learned behaviour'!!
How economical and green we are - and I had similar sentiments to you about the wind!
Richard, thank you and thanks for continuing support and encouragement!
