I imagine these two ladies and their two dogs live locally and are used to feeding the swans. For my part, I'd feel a bit foolish if I were sitting there, scared even, especially seeing the swan lurking behind the seat!

Oh my goodness Hazel!! Finlay would be trying to attack the swans and would then make them aggressive!! No way could I sit like this!! They seem oblivious to the swans - they must be local as you say!! Great candid capture!!
The little dogs are obviously used to being near the swans too Hazel.....must be a regular date! Swans become very tame when fed often like this, the swans at Bo'ness on Windermere nearly sit on your knee!

But we get the warning ; do n`t feed swans and geese with bread. That`s no good for there health. They `ve to eat grasses.
Wow, that is quite the collection of creatures. I can't imagine how my dog would react to all that but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be sitting quietly!

That's true and it teaches them also not to look for food themselves!
