It goes back a long way, Bep. Some time ago when I was out at work before leaving to have my family (as one did in those days) I bought the most gorgeous purple winter coat and one or two of my friends started calling me purple haze. I guess that's around half a century ago - well OK, 50 years - how can it be?!!
