Oh me too! I would have loved a thatched cottage but they are rather expensive, plus the thatch needs redoing every so many years and the fire insurance is high (Ray was an insurance claims investigator so no chance!)
Lovely collage Hazel. I grew up in a thatched cottage and I loved it. It was so warm and cosy and had so much character. I don't think I appreciated it as much then than I would do now!
