a 'book' for writing in, not for reading.............
I feel privileged to have this opportunity on 365 to keep a photojournal. But it does not replace my diary I hand-write each night before the lights go out.
It's one part of my lifestyle management plan to keep well. It could be one sentence, but I usually write about half a page. It's just for me and when a book is full up it goes in the bin - it's not for posterity! Right now I have lovely pencils with heart shaped erasers which Ray bought me from the pound shop!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Oh, as a teacher of writing, I really appreciate this post (although, I am wishing nothing goes in the bin). I am using 365 as a writing project as my pen to paper habit has gone--I'm so glad that you are sticking with the process--I place it high on the list of wonderful things to do for one's self. Thanks for sharing!
I only have wrote once +/- 100 poems for my wife. In that there is all of what`s interesting of my life for those who can read it. . Now I`ve a writers block. A lovely exercise book and pencil . a nice and lovely gift
Thank you for the fav. dear Hazel. My day is brighten .
This is a lovely idea but don't bin them, keep them or at least significant years, I kept one during my 50th year, not really for me but for my grand daughter
Thanks for your interest and comments. The therapy for me is in the writing and the 'books' are too inconsequential to be of interest to anyone else. The only time I have kept and used one afterwards is to look back and see what I did that led me to become ill. And it was just a chance that I had kept it.
I too started writing when i became ill... more poetry though, i find it resolves a lot of issues. I started with pen and note pad, i like the process and seeing the mistakes, the lines you can't undo. Nice little piece of you.
That's interesting, Sharon. I wrote one or two poems years ago but I'm not much good at that but I do agree that writing resolves a lot of issues. And there's something about one's own handwriting which a keyboard will never compete with.
Thank you - a friend gave me this book-to-write-in for my birthday.

Aha - I couldn't compete with that!

That sounds a lovely idea, Rachel, to have a Happy Book!
