By chance, when we visited Longstock Water Gardens yesterday, there was a flower festival in the 13th century St Nicholas Church. And also by chance in the village hall, some lovely ladies were serving tea and (all sorts of) cake........

Beautiful collage sounds a good day yesterday Hazel !! Love flower festivals When on the committee of our flower club I used to be in the leader of the show & festival team & would be invited to arrange flowers in local churches found it demanding but so much fun & rewarding !!
That sounds like a very therapeutic activity - I love having and arranging flowers in the house but have never done anything else in that line - well I've just remembered I went on a flower arranging course once but the less said about that the better! (I'm thinking of you.)
That's a really old church, nice collage with both subjects of the day. I love these festivals in the small parishes and town always a great choice of homemade cakes

Rosie, I have to ask - how many fast days do you have per week? Perhaps I could try to avoid talking about food on those days!!
