It was foggy here yesterday morning and when I opened the bedroom curtains, I saw that the large fir tree in the front garden was draped from head to toe in dewy cobwebs.
For today's word 'fog'.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I'm very much in the experimental stage of camera settings, Chris. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don't! My conclusion now is that the camera works better generally on Intelligent Auto than on my own aperture priority settings. I think I need to learn full M settings. I tried the 'scenery' mode in SCN settings at Hengistbury Head and everything was hopelessly overexposed and had to be picmonkeyed. I do like the 'sunset' mode under SCN though.
p.s. this was one of 26 shots, trying different settings and taken from bedroom windows plus actually in the front garden in my pj's (it's OK, the neighbours know I'm mad!)
@quietpurplehaze I so agree about camera settings. I experiment all the time but often take two pictures one with my experimental stuff and one with ISO and the ISO is often the better one. I think I need to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about!
Thanks, Lesley, for your comment and fav. I'm currently taking a 6 week photography course but it seems quite complicated although I am
at least able to try different settings now!

Love this pic btw. A fav
