Decima, I don't have a macro lens, just a fixed lens, but find the 'macro' option is fine. Mostly I just stick the camera under the 'nose' of the flower but on my new camera I've now found 'macro zoom'.

I wonder if the 'sharpen' facility on PicMonkey would help? (My dahlia shot (SOOC) was taken on my little Lumix TZ25 which I picked up at a very good priceonline: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5598964.htm)
