...our son, Neil's birthday tonight. I've organised some tapas: almonds fried in olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt, patatas a lo pobre, (I would not mind being a poor man if I had a dish to eat of green peppers oinions, chorizo and potatoes), serrano ham.
The vegetables are ready to make the paella; the champagne is where it should be having a rest in the fridge; the orange and almond cake is in the oven.

Apart from the green peppers it all sounds wonderful! BUT the orange and almond cake must have my name on it surely? Delish!
