detail of a witch hazel

I've tried, in a 'super macro' shot to show the composition of a single flower within a bloom on a witch hazel aka hamamelis. I find myself now more puzzled wondering which part equates to which part in more 'usual' flowers.
Love the colour

I wonder if the extract comes from the flower or the stem; the centre piece is so pretty

Lovely composition and great colours. It is quite surreal and a lovely photograph. Really well spotted.

@claireuk

Witch hazel for medicinal purposes, according to Wikipedia, comes from the bark of a North American witch hazel Hamamelis Virginiana - I've learnt someting, thanks for the question!
