sad 'door'

This beautiful Georgian building used to house a delightful restaurant: refined cuisine at average prices, impeccable service, relaxed ambiance, tasteful interior..........
And then one day it just closed down. Another restaurant took over but soon closed down too.
The building has been 'to let' for ages. So, for us, it's just a sad door.

I think you would have loved it, Karen. I was even inspired by an ornamental brass fingerplate on an internal door and bought one for a door in our house.
